Case Assessment Team

The Case Assessment Team is responsible for making decisions about whether people meet the standards required to become an accredited driver and whether disciplinary action should be taken against people who hold accreditation.

The information on these pages should assist you to understand the work of the Case Assessment Team. This may assist you if you have received a letter advising you that your application for driver accreditation has been referred to the Case Assessment Team or you have received a notice of possible disciplinary action from the Case Assessment Team.

Public Care Objective

The public care objective is that commercial passenger vehicles services are provided with safety, comfort, amenity and convenience. The public care objective also includes that the services be free from fraud or dishonesty.

The public care objective seeks to protect people using the services as well as the public generally, particularly children, people with disability, the elderly or other vulnerable people.
